Steven M. Ashe, 68, of Stratham, NH passed away suddenly on March 29, 2025 at Portsmouth Hospital of a brain bleed.
He was born in Rammstein, Germany on July 3,1956, son of the late Frank & Elsa (Roth) Ashe.
Steve had a thirst for knowledge. He attended UNH and received a Masters degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
In his younger years he worked for McDonalds and saved enough cash to buy his dream car a brand new Chevrolet El Camino!
Prior to illness, he worked for many years at Lockheed Sanders as an electrical engineer. Working mostly with classified information.
Steve was a teddy bear. He would do or give anyone anything if needed. He took life in stride. Always happy and soft spoken. He was a peace keeper. He never drank or smoked. He would rather sit down with a hamburger and watch some TV. Particularly old shows and westerns. Put a dog in his lap and that was heaven to him.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Ashe of Stratham and Richard Ashe of Lee, his sister Diana Ashe Miller of Stratham; his nephew Cole Miller, his beloved niece to whom he was Godfather, Annaka Miller, to whom he referred to as "little girl".
SERVICES – At his request, Services will be private. Arrangements in care of the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home - Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, NH. For online condolences, visit: www.jvwoodfuneralhome.com.
