Robert A. Briggs, 81, of Mashpee and Bolton, MA formerly of Fort Myers, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Providence, RI, son of the late Dora Phyllis (Roberts) and Arnold Briggs.

Robert grew up in Warwick, RI, and New Ipswich, NH. He graduated with a MBA from UMASS Amherst and a BS from UNH.

He had a long and successful sales and operations management career in technology companies. Early in his career, he was in senior leadership roles at major tech companies, such as Digital Equipment Corp. and Data General. Later, he led startups and mergers in telecommunications and software. In his retirement, he was in real estate sales in both MA and FL.

Robert enjoyed boating, tennis, pickleball and riding his motorcycle.

For 27 years, he was the beloved husband of Paula (Souza), originally of Falmouth. Devoted father of J. Carter Briggs, his wife, Kate, and their children Colin and Laila of Wakefield, MA; and Courtney Desy, her husband, Keith, and their daughter Norah of Maynard, MA. Brother of Sharon Briggs of Harvard, MA, Carolyn Briggs of Summerfield, FL, Bart Briggs of Duxbury, MA, and the late Roger Briggs formerly of Sharon, MA.

Burial service on Thursday, September 11 at 12PM at Saint Anthony's Cemetery, East Falmouth. Reception to follow at The Flying Bridge restaurant in Falmouth.
