Steven Auxter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home on Sep. 4, 2024.
It is with enormous sadness that the family of Steven L. Auxter announce his sudden passing on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his children, Nicholas and Sarah Auxter and granddaughter, Zari. He is also survived by Donna Auxter, his former wife of 40
years and mother of his children, his sister Pamela Douglas (Larry), nephews Brett Douglas (Angela), Matt Douglas (Meredith) a great niece
and several great nephews. Steve was predeceased by his father, Donald Auxter and mother, Shirley Auxter.
Steve has spent the last 31 years of his life in the financial industry and created many long-lasting friendships with co-workers and clients. One of
his favorite passions was working with the Solon Senior Center while a member of BNI where he assisted in completing an outdoor patio with
furnishings for the seniors to enjoy. Another passion of Steve's was the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad where for many years he would
sponsor trips for clients, family and friends so they could enjoy the history of the railroad and the scenery of the Cuyahoga Valley.
A funeral service will be held at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Solon, OH on Friday, September 6th at 10:00AM.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Truth for Life, the bible teaching ministry of Alistair Begg, Senior Pastor, Parkside Church.

I remember how Steve used to bring coffee into the office almost every morning for Donna. He was also very kind and shared his VIP guest passes for the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad with us to take our grandchildren, who still talk about it 2 years later. He was always friendly whenever I saw him.

Steve was my sincere friend in school and church. We loved to spend time at each others home. He wanted to come and stay with me at the farm and I liked staying with him a be a towny. We had a group of church families that were very close. We spent vacations at Lakeside that turned into his parents buying a cottage there. I will miss my friend but will always cherish our times together. Rest in peace my friend.

Steve went above and beyond to help clients, neighbors, friends, family and his community. Whether it was through his infectious smile or his selfless acts of kindness, he made life a little brighter for many. You will be missed, Steve.

It was because of Steve that I have now been in the Greater Cleveland Chapter for what is now my 22nd year He personally invited me and made me feel welcome and inspired to grow my business He was one of 2 founding members of the chapter in 1998 and it is because of Steve´s passion, selflessness and resourcefulness that the chapter has been strong for over 25 years

Steve, you were a class act and I will miss you dearly, my Friend!
