Steven Brown Obituary

He was born on June 25, 1954, in Warsaw, Indiana to Joan Violet (Hampton) Brown and Arnold Edward Brown. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana, Steve was a 1972 graduate of Warsaw High School. On June 8, 1985, he married his best friend and love of his life, Judy Ann Benton. They were blessed to have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this month.
Steve proudly served the city of Warsaw as a police officer retiring after 30 years. He was always reliable, firm when necessary and possessed a strong sense of duty. He also worked at Armstrong Products in Warsaw. Steve enjoyed antique cars, especially his 1967 Chevelle.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Steve left his imprint on his family that he dearly loved, and he will be forever remembered by his wife, Judy Ann Brown (Warsaw, IN); son, Matthew Ryan (Viki) Brown (Bremen, IN); two daughters, Jennifer Ann Mink (Lamont Bowman) (Pahrump, NV); and Julie Ann Hall Patton (Jason Patton) (Warsaw IN). Also surviving are his ten grandchildren, Samantha Mink (Tonopah, NV); Sophie Ryan Martinez (Pahrump, NV); Jude William Hall (Warsaw, IN); Madison Mark (Warsaw, IN); Allison Mark (Argos, IN); Noah Brown (Plymouth, IN); Jordan Brown (Plymouth, IN); Caythan, Liliana, and Dean Cullen (Bremen, IN); two brothers, Michael (Lisa) Brown (OH); Scott (Dawn) Brown (Warsaw, IN); and his sister, Tracey (Mark Poling) Grose (Warsaw, IN). He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Trisha Lynn Mark, and his brother-in-law, Alan Grose.
Steve's life will be celebrated by his family. His Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at The Salvation Army - Worship & Community Center, 501 E. Arthur Street, Warsaw, Indiana. Chaplain Layne Sumner will speak at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following until 3:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
