Steven James Cox

Steven James Cox was born June 21, 1979, to James Edwards Cox and Toni Annette Johnson of El Dorado, AR. Steven excepted Christ at an early age uniting a Baptist church in Dallas, TX Steven was a 1997 graduate of West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas. Steven extended his education at El Cento College and Texas Barber College in Dallas, TX.

As a child Steven developed a love for drawing and cutting hair. At the age of 12 he purchased his first pair of hair clippers and began cutting his own hair. As he begins to master the art of cutting hair, he begins to cut the hair of friends and family. This soon caused him to become known as the "Hair Cut Man". He shared many joyous times seeing the smiles of friends and family after he groomed them. He took grooming others to heart showing a caring heart and friendly heart to every client.

Steven was proceeded in death by bonus brother Dana Lamar Jackson (Dinky), grand and great- grand parents Lynn and Girtha Johnson, Annie Estella Bowie Johnson, Ivadale Cook.

Steven memories will be greatly cherished by Ms. Cassandra Waters (very special friend), mother, Toni Johnson, Willie R. Jackson (Pops); sister, Asia D Nelson; bonus sister, Latrina Jackson Willis; grandparents, Louis Perry Johnson, Morris Jean Cox Williams, Daniel and Pearl Coleman; uncles, Ricky Louis Johnson, Ricky (Cheri) Cox, Anthony Broadnax, Keithan King; aunts, Lisa Broadnax, Carol Johnson-Thomas (his other mom). A host of other family and friends.
