Obituary of Steven Walton Craig
Steven Walton Craig's journey, which began on November 8th, 1963, in Markinch, Scotland, was taken too soon on December 24th, 2023. He was the eldest son of the late Alexander and Muriel Craig and a beloved brother to Derek Craig, brother-in-law to June, and Uncle to Emma and Melissa
In 1986, Steven found his lifelong partner in Angela, embarking on a transatlantic adventure that led them to the United States in 1994, driven by Steven's professional pursuits. They made a home in Texas, Colorado, California, and Shanghai, China, ending with their retirement and settling in Longmont, Colorado in 2021. Steven began his career as a factory line Electrical Engineer, rising to the position of Senior Executive before retiring.
For Steven, family was everything. He was a devoted husband to Angela, and a nurturing father to Caroline, Ryan, his wife Paige, and Ellie. Being a Grandad to Liam, his cherished grandchild, brought him boundless joy and fulfillment.
Steven loved traveling and playing golf. He also volunteered with the Niwot Rotary. But what really lit up his life was sports, especially the Colorado Avalanche and Celtic Football Club. Every day you would find him glued to the TV, cheering on his favorite teams. Every summer you could find Steven lounging by the pool in Maui Hawaii, sipping his favorite Pina Coladas.
As we bid farewell to Steven, his warmth, devotion to family, and infectious laughter linger in our hearts. While his absence leaves a void, his vibrant spirit continues to illuminate our memories, reminding us of his profound kindness and passion for life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Niwot Rotary Club or Meals on Wheels in Steven's honor would be deeply appreciated, carrying forward his legacy of generosity and care for the community.
Plans for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In Shanghai me and Ellie had a sleepover and Mr.Craig took us shopping. We went to a store and Ellie got a pink and yellow slime and I got a pink and blue slime. Then he took me and Ellie to subway. It was my first time! I can still remember that day.

Steven was one of our volunteers with SCTC. His knowledge and willingness to help our seniors with their technology questions will be greatly missed.

I met Steven in the Shrewsbury facility when Maxtor acquired Quantum. We had a discussion regarding the pro's and con's of MY black coffee preference over his TEA preference. I learned that day what a fantastic sense of humor he had. Rest in peace sir. It was an honor to have known you.

We met Steven at the Longmont Senior Center in December 2022. He was our one on one tutor for a year. He taught us so much about our Apple computer. No question was ever too dumb for Steven. We got to know him more as the months went on and he got to know us. We had a lot of laughs together. He knew I liked shortbread and even made me a batch. He said we could call, email or text him anytime with computer questions. He always answered right away. We will miss him so much but we have the best memories. Marsha and Dan Robirds

I met Steven during my interview at Maxtor. We discovered we had something in common. My family roots come from Kirkcaldy, Scotland and Steven had lived there. We kept in contact lightly post Maxtor. I always enjoyed our conversation. He was a brilliant Engineer and a good man. God bless.
