Steven Ralph Cramer was born in Los Angeles California, August 15, 1944. His father was Gilbert (Tony) Warren Cramer & his mother was Alyce Doreen Smith.
Steve passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30th, at Adventist Health Portland Hospital, of heart failure. He was 79. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his three adult children, Tim, Rhonda & Shawna. About 25 years ago, he professed that he had put his faith in Jesus Christ & during his final hours with us, he again, affirmed his faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of his sins, saying that he looked forward to seeing Jesus, face to face.
Steve grew up around Philomath and Portland Oregon and lived most of his adult life on the southeast side of Portland. Steve had a painful childhood but learned the benefits of hard work and a positive attitude. He loved to laugh with friends and family. He developed many close friendships through the years. He had a love for cars, water skiing, barbeques & enjoying hot summers with friends and family at various lakes and rivers.
He worked in carpentry, car sales, bartending and for many years, as an Elks Lodge manager.
Steve was not without regrets. Like all of us, there were many instances where he wished he could go back and choose differently. In the end, he hung onto his faith in the forgiver of all sins, Jesus Christ. The same hope that we would all do well to cling to also.
Steve was married to Dione Selvig and later, to Cathy Risti.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Toni Davis, Trella Kinney & Betty Gardner, and his brother Pat Reed. His Brother, Darl Hagey, also passed away just two weeks prior to Steve's passing.
He also leaves behind his three adult children and their families: Tim Cramer & daughter in-law Lisa & their two children, Nathan & Livia. Rhonda Cramer and her two daughters, Marlo and Mj. Shawna & son in-law Koji & their children, Kai, Chase, Catherine, Chelsea & great granddaughters, Harmony & Layla.
