Steven Davis, 68, of Oskaloosa, passed away at Northern Mahaska Specialty Care on July 21, 2025.
Steven Ray Davis, son of Robert and Betty M. (Corder) Davis, was born in Ottumwa on October 1, 1956. He grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1975. After graduation, he attended Indian Hills Community College, where he studied mechanics. Upon completing his education, he held various positions in the woodworking and refrigeration industries, ultimately retiring as a machinist for Vermeer.
Steven met Esther, and the two were wed on May 10, 2008, at their home in Oskaloosa. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing horseshoes, and X-Box.
Those left to cherish Steven's memory are his wife, Esther; his daughter, Adelee Davis of Oskaloosa; step-children: Joe Shafer of Bedford, Indiana; Kelly Shafer of Oskaloosa; Cory Kravelick of Kirksville, Missouri; grandchildren: Kyla (Brayden) Wald, Steven, Jenna, Alex, and Makenzie; great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Willow, and Elizabeth; his brothers: Robert (Cathy) Davis of Bloomfield; and Harry (June) Davis of Iowa; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
As was his wish, Stevens' body has been cremated, and there are no services planned at this time.
