Steven A. DiNicola, 71, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born December 2, 1953 in Erie, a son of the late Amelio and Bertha (Janik) DiNicola.
A proud graduate of McDowell High School, Steve distinguished himself as a golf medalist. He was the owner and operator with his late father of DiNicola and Sons Masonry and Cement since age 17. In retirement, Steve worked part-time as a bus monitor for First Student for 7 years.
Steve was a diehard fan of Penn State and the Pittsburgh Pirates, proudly supporting his teams through every season. An enthusiast of simple pleasures, he cherished relaxing on his patio with his iPad and beloved cats. He also enjoyed his beautiful flower gardens, feeding the wildlife in his backyard, and horse racing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Patricia Bauer DiNicola; daughter Amelia DiNicola; son Nick DiNicola; brother Joey DiNicola and sister-in-law, Carolyn DiNicola; niece, Juliann DiNicola; and dear cousins, Nelson Gigliotti and Eric DiNicola. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
