Steven E. Eash, age 75, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home.
Steven was born on November 25, 1948 in Pekin, IL to Roy Joseph and Rena Marie (Cook) Eash, Sr. He married Barbara A. Arndt on June 11, 1967 in Chillicothe.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; his children, Tina Eash of Peoria, IL, Tracy Hough of Lewistown, IL, Theresa (John) Long of Peoria, IL and Steven R. (Carie) Eash of East Peoria, IL; his grandchildren, Justin Eash, Jordan Eash, Heidi Nerud and Cameron Eash; eight great-grandchildren, Hezekiah, JJ, Josalyn, Chloe, Octavia, Harper, Kinsley and Roman; his two sisters, Gracie (Charles) Gill of Texarkana, TX and Judy Brewer of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roy Eash, Jr.; his brother-in-law, Jim Brewer; brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Arndt; and his great-granddaughter, Avie.
Steven was a union carpenter for 36 years when he retired. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Rome and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing and painting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
