Steven Fisette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors - Midland Chapel on Jul. 31, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

On July 27, 2025, Steven Fisette, 66, of Frankenmuth was received into the presence of the lord-not by pain or sorrow, but by the loving hand of God, who gently lifted him from his life into the promise of Heaven. With faith that carried him through every trial, Steven left behind the weights of this world and entered the place where love is perfect, and peace knows no end.

Born on February 7, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan, Steven was the beloved son of the late Lawrence and Dea Ann (Bierlein) Fisette. His early years in Frankenmuth were filled with fond memories and the establishment of friendships that would last a lifetime.

Steven's education began at St. Lorenz Lutheran School and culminated in his graduation from Frankenmuth High School; he forged deep connections with his peers. It was here that he discovered his love for music, a passion that would become a defining feature of his life.

Music was not just a hobby for Steven; it was a vessel for his soul's expression. His passion for melody and rhythm found its outlet in his talent for singing, writing music and playing the guitar.

Steven found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones, listening to music, talking and laughing. Steven's pets were also a source of happiness and companionship, reflecting his gentle and caring nature.

Steven's love for nature extended to the simple pleasures of life. He found serenity in the quietude of his backyard, a sanctuary where he and his beloved Alice would sit and enjoy music and watch the birds and squirrels, a pastime that brought tranquility to his heart and a smile to his face.

Surviving besides his loving wife Alice are his sister and brother, Joni Lynn (David) Rutherford and Michael Fisette; nieces and nephews, Carrie (Will) Wescoat, James Fisette, Chad Germain, Michael Fisette, Marissa Fisette, William (Deb) Anthony, Thomas (Candace) Anthony, Anthony (Alysha) Pileri, Ashley (Josh) Hammer, Heather Ruediger, Hailey (Trevor) Schultz, Chloe (Dewey) Rapson, and Matthew (Dana) Piazza; his Godsons, Matthew (Mindy) Bierlein, James Fisette, Matthew (Dana) Piazza. Steven is also survived by his brother in-laws and sisters-in-law, Carol Anthony, Peggy Anthony, Thomas (Cindy) Anthony, and Myra (Craig) Piazza, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and dear friends that have been with him throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother James Damien Fisette.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. The Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate. Steven's family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 9th at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family would also like to invite friends and family to continue celebrating Steve's life after the service with a Luncheon and gathering at his sister's home, 6157 South Vassar Rd, Vassar Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the family in care of his wife, Alice.
