Richard Emile Fisette Sr.

Richard E. "Dick" Fisette, Sr., 80, of Bourne, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Worcester, MA, on October 14, 1944, Dick was the son of the late Emile and Delisca (Belanger) Fisette. Married for 50 years to his beloved wife, Jeanne (Guillette) Fisette, Dick was a devoted father to Richard E. Fisette, Jr., and Nicole Fisette, and a proud grandfather to Richie and Emilia. He was predeceased by his sister, Doris Henderson of Worcester, and is survived by his sister Lorraine Fentress of San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Dick graduated from South High School in Worcester in 1963 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he built a respected career as a proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #4 in Worcester, MA. In 1996, after 26 years in the field, he was elected as Business Agent for Local #4, a position he held until his retirement in 2007. He also served as a Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 131 in Sutton, MA from 1987-1995.

He enjoyed golfing with friends, cruising in his classic car, clamming, traveling, savoring a well-made martini, and spending cherished time with his family. Dick will be remembered as a kind, gentle, generous, and soft-spoken man. His life was defined by deep friendships, and the love of his family.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at St John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd, Pocasset, MA 02559. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 12:30pm.
