Cunningham - Steven Raymond "Freundly" Freund, 66, passed away July 12, 2025 after a short illness. He was born November 17, 1958 in Nashville, Kansas to Eugene and Clara Mae (Spade) Freund. Steven married Ronda (Seidel) Freund on May 1, 2004 in Pratt, Kansas. They were married for 21 years.
Steven graduated from Cunningham High School in 1978. He was a farmer and rancher his whole life. He was a member and board member of the Reach Church, and a board member of Cairo Co-op and Skyland Grain for many years. He held the school record for weight lifting at Cunningham High School for many years. Steven enjoyed going to the lake, camping and taking care of the cattle and the farm.
He is survived by wife, Ronda Freund; mother, Clara Mae Freund; son, Jacob (Breanna) Massoth of Pratt; sisters, Annette Befort of Cunningham, Patty (Glynn) Hensley of Cunningham, and Kris (Dan) Beat of Cunningham; brother, Doug (Jennifer) Freund of Pratt; mother in-law, Bonnie Seidel of Pratt; brother in-laws, Robert (Deann Ohnmacht) Seidel of Pratt and Rodney (Cris) Seidel of Pratt; sister in-laws, Rita (Ed) Schrader of Tecumseh and Rose Shinkle of Pratt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Freund; sister, Cheryl Freund; brother in-laws, Keith Befort and Kevin Shinkle; and father in-law, Ralph Seidel.
Friends may come in and sign the register book on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2025 at Reach Church, Pratt with Pastor JD Washington presiding. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
In leau of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Reach Church and sent to Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, Kansas 67124. Online condolences may be made at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
