Funeral services for Steven Howard Funk, 47, of Knoxville, will be held Friday, August 29th at 5:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Knoxville. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Please feel free to wear Black & Gold.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family in care of his wife, Andrea Funk, the memorials will be designated to some of Steven's many passions.

Steven Howard Funk was born December 18, 1977, in Knoxville, Iowa to Robert and Lois (Robuck) Funk. Steven attended school at East Elementary School and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1996. After graduation he attended the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and served as a Warren County Sheriff's Deputy for 10 years. He later attended William Penn pursuing a business management degree. For the past four years he has worked at Weiler.

Steven was married to Andrea McCombs on September 19, 1998. They were blessed with two children: Abbi and Andy. He adored his children and had a special bond with his grandson, Grayson. Steven was truly crushed when his daughter, Abbi, passed in December of 2023.

Steven loved sports. He followed college football and basketball and was an avid Hawkeye fan (he almost always wore Hawkeye colors) and also cheered for the Vikings and Steelers.

Steven is survived by his parents: Lois Funk and Robert Funk; wife, Andrea Funk; son, Andy Funk; grandson, Grayson; brother, Bryan Funk; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
