It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Steven Lawrence Fusaro passed away on August 2, 2022, after a brief illness. Steve was a 20-year resident of San Clemente, California.
Steven was born in Sacramento, California on June 7, 1956 to James (Jim) and Dolores (Dolly) Fusaro. Steven's father travelled for 33 years for the Santa Fe Railroad. His mom, Dolly cared for their homes and children, and also worked as a pharmacy technician. The family home moved through many different cities and states. Steve and his sister Sue became very close and loving through their Western adventures.
The family settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. Steve attended Skyline High School and was on the golf and basketball teams. He also enjoyed skiing with his family. Steve was intrigued and inspired with the making of fine jewelry. He moved to South Pasadena, California to apprentice with his grandfather Emile F. Costes and uncle Emile Costes (Bosco) both master goldsmiths in Los Angeles. Steve became a third-generation goldsmith.
Steve inherited a passion for music from his father's family and music was a big part of his life. He played the drums in his band entertaining people from Alaska to Nevada. Every memory had a musical association for him, and he could recall lyrics of songs for every single milestone of his life story.
Steve settled in Portland, Oregon where he and his wife, Nancy, raised their three children, Amber, Anthony and Andy. Though Steve and Nancy separated, their children remained the light of his life. Steve loved his family and his music. He also grew his jewelry business and owned his own store.
Steve met Paige in Milwaukie, Oregon and they moved to San Clemente to be near Dolly and continue his step-father's John Latteier's jewelry business. Steve loved beach life and it fit him perfectly because he always shined with positivity brighter than the San Clemente sunshine.
Steve and Paige were married at Kapalua Bay, Maui in 2016 witnessed by family and friends. He and Paigey enjoyed a loving relationship.
Steve was a 2nd generation and lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. He was a shareholder and celebrated his 50th birthday at Lambeau field. Steve's other interests were watching the San Francisco Giants, swimming, playing pool, feeding his crows, playing golf with Paige and tossing the frisbee with his sister Sue.
Steve will be remembered as a boisterous, funny, optimistic and affectionate softie. He loved his family and friends, and never let them forget that love; and he was a faithful and God loving man. His zest for life will be greatly missed and will not be forgotten. His absence will be deeply felt by anyone lucky enough to have known him. Without Steve with his bellowing laugh and his constant singing, the world is very quiet.
Steve is survived by his wife Paige Fusaro, his mother Dolly Latteier, his sister Sue Fusaro-West (Tom) his three children Amber Fusaro, Anthony Fusaro (Morgan) Andy Fusaro, his Aunt Simone and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews by the Sea located at 2001 Calle Frontera, San Clemente, California with a celebration of life to immediately follow next door at the Fellowship Hall.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Steven Fusaro's memory.

Dolly, it was wonderful to read all about your son. I´m sorry I never met him and that our paths never crossed. I love you and one thing is for sure, he had a wonderful mother.
