Steven was faithful and devoted husband to his wife Jean. He was a jack of all trades. He thoroughly enjoyed fixing things with his hands and loved to share his knowledge with others. Steven had a profound love for cooking and music especially zydeco music. Beyond his love of food and music, Steven's family was his everything. His love for his family was evident in everything that he did. Steven loved to spend time with his family and cherished every memory he made with each of his family members. He loved to tell stories and loved to make others laugh. Steven will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Horace and Nathaniel Edwards, and Darryl, Kevin, Aaron, and Raymond Gobert.
Those left to cherish Steven's memory include his wife, Jean Gobert of Elton; three stepsons, Nathaniel Edwards and wife Katelyn of Katie, TX, and Horace and Steve Edwards of Elton; his mother, Orelia Gobert of Elton; two brothers, Norman Gobert and Morris Gobert and wife Amy all of Elton, seven grandchildren, three nieces, and one nephew.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Maurice Gobert and one sister Jeanette Gobert.
Condolences and words of comfort may be expressed to the family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or our Facebook page at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
