Steven E. Hamblin

Steven E. Hamblin, age 73, of Grand Rapids, died August 3, 2024 at Trinity Health Hospital. He was born August 23, 1950 in Grand Rapids, the son of Eugene and Mildred (McAnally) Hamblin. He worked for many years as a Licensed Master Automotive Technician before retiring due to health problems. Steven was known best as simply "Cowboy" to all of his friends and could rarely be seen without his cowboy hat and boots adorned. He was also known for always remembering every family member's important dates especially birthdays and anniversaries whether or not it was for a close or distant family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Hamblin and Mildred McAnally; his brother, Jerry Hamblin; nephew, Curt Hamblin. Surviving are his brothers, Donald and Douglas Hamblin; niece, Carol Steinebach and four children, Lee Hamblin, Analise Knott, Charles Howey and Kenneth Phelps along with several grandchildren and many others whom he loved. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Arrangements by K.E. Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs.
