Steven Earl High, a devoted husband, father and God-fearing man, returned to the presence of his Heavenly Father on April 4, 2025, with loved ones by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He was married to his beloved wife, Glenna, for 40 wonderful years, a testament to their enduring partnership and commitment to one another.
Steven was the son of Leo and Nadine High and proud father of six children, whom he raised with care and instilled with the values of hard work and perseverance. His family and faith were the cornerstone of his life, and he took great joy in watching his children grow and flourish. In 2002 he had the opportunity to graduate college at ISU during the same time as one of his daughters.
Steven's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, faith, and work. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind spirit, and the love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind his wife Glenna, his six children: Mark (Tammy), Eric (Neta), Rachelle Ferrin (Joe), Craig (Lalis), Dennis, Madalina Redford (Derek), fourteen grandkids, and six great-grandkids. We are all better for having known him.
Funeral services will be held for family and close friends at Hawker Funeral Home on Friday, April 11th, 2025. A viewing will be held Thursday, April 10th from 7-8pm, and a second viewing Friday morning from 09:30-10:45 am with the funeral services promptly starting afterwards at 11:00am.
