In Loving (and Laughing) Memory of Steven Douglas Ice Fairview Park, Ohio gave the world one of its finest exports when Steve Ice was born April 17th, 1964, to William and Margaret (McBride) Ice. From the start, he had two great loves: sports and laughter-and he carried both with him until the very end. A proud student of The Ohio State University and Cleveland State University, he never missed a chance to cheer "Go Bucks!" or root for his beloved Cleveland teams (yes, even when they broke his heart). His fandom was legendary, often accompanied by witty commentary and an uncanny ability to find the humor in every win, loss, or extra inning. When he wasn't joking around or glued to the game, he was happiest with his toes in the sand and enjoying his life on the beach with his soulmate, Michelle. He always reminded us-through his actions and his words-that life is too short not to laugh, love, and savor the moment. His final message to all of us: "Live long and prosper." On September 6th, 2025, he exited the stage with perfect comedic timing. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Ice, daughter Nicole Ice (Justin Beish), son Beau Ice, and his three grandsons-Tripp Hager, Chase Dugas, and Nathan Grabowski-who will carry on his humor, his loyalty, and maybe even his stubborn Cleveland spirit. Also surviving are his parents William & Marge Ice, and his siblings Larry Ice (Donna), Monica Ice, and Virginia Stewart (Richard). An Eternal Toast Celebration will be held in his honor on Sunday, September 21st at 1pm at 7201 Porcher Drive, Myrtle Beach. Raise a glass, share a laugh, and remember him exactly as he lived: with joy, wit, and a love for family, friends, and the beach.
