LINTHICUM – Steven Wesley Linthicum, age 72 of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held at Gwinnett Memorial Park at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023, with Rev. Jan Taddeo officiating.
Steven retired from Gwinnett County Water Resources after working for the City of Atlanta for many years.
Steven loved the outdoors and cherished the natural world. He hiked the Appalachian Mountains, camped, and went on beach excursions with his friend Deb. He cared for all creatures, and rescued turtles, birds, and flying squirrels. He began stamp and coin collecting with his father as a Boy Scout, and continued to share this interest with his friend Gil. In retirement, he enjoyed working on home and yard projects with his friend Tom. Steven was kind-hearted and helpful, caring for family members, neighbors, and friends. He leaves a legacy of love, devotion, and sacrifice.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Eubert and Barbara Linthicum. He is survived by his sister, Susan Eller, Lawrenceville, GA; nieces Olivia (Joe) Shoffner, Peachtree Corners, GA; Susanna Eller, Peachtree Corners, GA; and Laurel Eller, Roswell, GA; and great nephews Henry, Edwyn and James.
