Steven T. May passed into the spirit world unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, at his residence. He was only 47 years old. The family Is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday January 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge, SD.

Steven T. May passed into the spirit world unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, at his residence. He was only 47 years old. The family Is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Steve was born on January 4, 1978, in Mobridge, SD to Joan Marie Gullickson Silk and Terrance C. May. He resided in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, SD, Bismarck and Mandan ND. Steve eventually made his home in Mobridge, SD. From a young age, he demonstrated exceptional potential. He pursued higher education at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he cultivated a lasting passion for technology and computer systems. Steve's technological interests encompassed the installation of security devices and building computers. He had a special affinity for cats that brought him immense joy. His nature and sense of humor earned him numerous cherished friendships, a testament to his kind and compassionate character. Steve's warm and welcoming smile were distinguishing traits that made everyone feel at ease. As an avid reader, Steve explored philosophical and psychological texts, seeking knowledge that would facilitate personal growth. He demonstrated unwavering dedication in caring for his mother. Recently, Steve spent quality time with his stepfather, Kevin Barnwell, creating lasting memories.

Steve is survived by his mother Joan Marie Gullickson Silk, sister Michelle Grosch, nieces Skylar and Madison, nephew Carson, aunts Karen Gullickson, Kay Gullickson, Mary and Martin Walker. He was especially close to his niece Skylar Goodfriend, Lily Parisien, and cousins Taylor and Erin. He was processed in death by his father Terrance C May, uncle John "Gunny" Gullickson and aunt Janet Gullickson and stepfather Kevin Barnwell.

Rick Merkel, Roger Gullickson, Felix Young Bird Jr, Anthony J Dimarzo, Chris Miller, Jared Brown, Ranel Rousch, Hank and Marcus, William Gullickson all other friends and relatives.
