Steven Meyer Obituary
Steven Edmund Thomas Meyer, 59, of Peru, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 6:00pm. Private burial will take place in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Steven was born March 31, 1966, in Manhattan, NY to Harold Joseph and Francis Ann (O'Rourke) Meyer. He married Dawn Wilson on December 31, 1993 at Set Free Church in Ottawa.
Steven was a family man through and through. From raising 5 of his grandchildren, to attending their events, or caring for his son, there was nothing he wouldn't do for his family. He had a large network of friends locally as well as those he met through his Youtube channel. He enjoyed taking pictures and videos documenting special occasions. He was a strong believer in his country and always fighting for what is yours and what is right.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dawn Meyer; his children, Meghan, Stephanie, Colin, and Danielle Meyer and Nathan Keck; his grandchildren, Isabella Meyer, Jeremiah Rosario, Isaiah Rosario, Athena Rosario, Declan Meyer, Mazikeen Rosario, and Malia Rosario; as well as his niece, Rose "Scooter" Cummings and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Francis; and his sister, Eilleen Smith.
