Steven A. Mihely, 62, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, March 15, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was born on December 28, 1962, in Warren Ohio. He was the son of Stanley and Rose Ellen (Dufur) Mihely.
He was the 3rd generation owner of Mihely's Auto Body. Anyone who knows Steve knows that he has dedicated his life to working at that shop, 10-18 hour days since he was 14 years old. Nicknamed "Honest Steve" by his customers because he helped everyone that he could even if it meant he would lose money doing so. He loved his job, his workers, and the customers that he served in his 48 year career. He was proud and comforted to know that his boys would carry on the family tradition and continue to run the business.
In the few instances that Steve did take time off from work, you could find him riding his Harley, playing pool or working on a home remodeling project for friends or family.
Steve is survived by his loving family; his children: Danielle (Benjamin) Nosse, Adam Mihely, and Aaron (Brittany) Mihely; his grandchildren Cora and Melonie; his siblings: Pam (Rich) Howell, Cindy (Richard Myers) Kemmer, and Buddy Mihely; his loving companion Pam of 15 years, his nieces and nephews; and his dogs Odie and Nala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Renee in 2002, and his sister Vicki (Patrick) Burns in 2024.
Funeral services will be held at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm and the funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
