Steven "Steve" James Murski, 52, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 9th, 2023 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 5, 1970 to now deceased parents, Carol and Linda Murski.
Steve is survived by his son, Chad Murski and his wife Christine Murski; daughter, Kelly Murski; granddaughter, Jade Murski; former wife and mother of his children, Kimberly Dehart; life partner, Vicky Barnard; aunt, Carolyn Holley; as well as other relatives and countless friends.
When he was younger, Steve worked at McDonald's, Best Products, and Builders Square. Later, he worked at Church Cassette where he started in the warehouse and worked his way up to Office Manager just under the company owner. During his 12-year career at Church Cassette, Steve taught himself how to use Photoshop for building company catalogs and CD designs and also developed the company's website. In this line of work, he worked closely with large local churches and musicians.
Steve was always looking to learn the latest technology and loved helping his children with various school projects using these technologies. He also found enjoyment in going to the rodeo, playing cards, listening to 80's music, going to concerts, sharing memes, and playing the guitar. Steve loved spending time with his family, whether it be early morning fishing trips or vacations to Galveston, TX, Florida (Disney World and Destin were his favorites), and Colorado. He adored dressing his family up each Halloween with a certain theme. He valued his Christian beliefs and always went the extra mile for Christmas each year. This included elaborate Christmas decorations as well as being very kind and generous with gifts purchased for family and friends. He was also an avid dog lover, and within an instant, he would be a dog's best friend.
Some of his favorite things to watch were Andy Griffith, Judge Judy, Christmas Vacation, and My Cousin Vinny. His favorite music groups were ZZ Top (first concert), Metallica, Kiss, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Foreigner, and Journey.
The humor, care, and thoughtfulness Steve provided to all those around him will forever be missed.
