Steven J. Nelson, 68 years old,  a beloved figure known for his career as a Retail Buyer, passed away at his home in Calverton, NY, on May 4, 2024. Born on February 7, 1956, in Oceanside. Steven leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Steven touched the hearts of many with his warm personality and genuine nature. He adored his grandchildren and created countless memories filled with love and laughter alongside them. His presence brought light and joy to those around him, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he encountered.

Aside from his dedication to his career as a Retail Buyer, Steven had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He found solace in fishing, enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the water from the docks, and spending time boating – activities that brought him peace and contentment.

Steven's passing is deeply mourned by his son Christopher Nelson, daughter Jennifer Niebrzydowski, brother Kenneth Nelson, grandson Jayson Nelson, granddaughters Aubree Niebrzydowski, Samantha Nelson, Nicole Nelson, Maria Nelson, grandson Aiden Nelson; as well as other surviving family members and friends. Steven is predeceased by his parents Norman and Jacqueline Nelson.

The services to honor and celebrate Steven's life will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. Visitation will take place on May 11th from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Prayer Service will be conducted from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM on the same day.

In remembrance of Steven J. Nelson's remarkable journey through life filled with compassion and love for his family and friends, let us carry forward the light he brought into our lives. May he rest in peace knowing that he made this world a brighter place with his presence.
