Steven D. Nicoll

Steven D. Nicoll, 55, passed away on August 9, 2025 at his home. Born in Holyoke, MA on December 30, 1969, he was the son of Neil C. Nicoll and the late Gail P. (Jasnocha) Nicoll.

He was a talented Systems Architect and proud of all he accomplished in that field over the years. Steven was very happy to have been a member of the bands Six Strings Down and Slate, bringing many people together with his music at numerous venues in the Springfield area. His passion was singing and playing the guitar whether it was out on the town or for family and friends. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and found great joy in donating to those in need as well as participating in and supporting local fundraising events.

To cherish his memory, Steven leaves his wife, Isabel (Echeverri) Nicoll and her children Manny and Gabriel; his father Neil Nicoll and his wife Theresa; his siblings Carolyn Gernux and her husband Thomas, Laurinda Johnston and her husband Andrew and William A. Nicoll and his wife Maria; his nephews Eric, Andrew, Alex, Zach and Joey, who he loved and was extremely proud of as well as several dear friends that he shared many good times with through the years.

Besides his mother, Gail, he was predeceased by his brother N. Scott Nicoll.

Funeral services will be held privately for the family.
