Preceded in death by Father, George Rinehart Otten, and Mother, Patsy Ruth (Moore) Camden.
Survived by wife of 42 years, Allyson K (Dinnel) Otten; children Douglas (Jennifer) Otten, Omaha, Parker (Michelle) Otten, San Antonio, Darryl (Amanda) Otten, San Antonio, Charles J (Lila) Dinnel, Omaha; Grandchildren Bella G Dinnel, Paxton, Preston, Tyler, Kalyn, Christopher, and Irina. Siblings Stan (Diane) Otten, George Otten, Ruthann (Al) Klassen, Teresa (Marv) Bass.
Steve attended Omaha Benson High School and after graduation joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany. He retired from Airlite Plastics where he worked in the maintenance dept and was affectionately known as "Mongo". Steve enjoyed bowling and golf. But his favorite pastime was fishing for walleye on Blackduck Lake, Minnesota.
Per request no service. Visitation with friends and family November 8, 2023 from 4-6 pm at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N 108th St, Omaha, NE 68164. Steve's ashes will be scattered on Blackduck Lake, MN at a future date.
