He was the beloved soulmate of Jessica Broady, loving and devoted father of Ursula Petersen, wonderful, caring son of Jim and Penny Petersen, loving brother and friend to Kathy Robert and husband Ernie and to Jim Petersen, Jr. and wife Michelle and much loved Uncle Steve to Patrick Petersen and Kyle Robert.
Steve will be sorely missed by his family and many friends who enjoyed his humor, wit, intellect, and commentary of the New York Times. He was predeceased by his father James, his nephew James E. Petersen III, grandparents Mary A. and Elliot C. Petersen, and Louise E. Knight.
