Steven Proffit Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Diane "Deddee" Proffit (Church); two sisters, Linda Rowely (Proffit) and Cindy Proffit; and four stepchildren: Tobias Daniel LaRoque, Michael Joseph LaRoque, Tessa Lashell LaRoque, and Jennifer Diane Sterling. Steven was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Steven was a proud and dedicated semi-truck driver for nearly 30 years before his retirement. He loved the open road and the sense of purpose his work brought him.
In his free time, Steven enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding 4-wheelers. More than anything, he loved being surrounded by nature. He loved spending time with his great-grandkids, sharing stories and watching birds come to the feeders or tell them about the quail that they feed.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in December 2025, honoring Steven's wish for a joyful remembrance filled with music, dancing, good food, and cherished memories.
