Steven Wesley Reagan, Sr., known affectionately as Steve, 83, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at Cedar Hills Center in Clemmons, North Carolina. Born on January 22, 1942, in Bryson City, Swain County, North Carolina, to Charles Fletcher Reagan and Hester Laura Crisp Reagan, Steve lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. His warm and welcoming nature was contagious, and he never met a stranger. Known for his warm smile and ability to connect with everyone, Steve brought joy to all who knew him.

On December 1, 1962, Steve married his beloved wife, Melba Lynn Arey, and together they raised two sons, Steven Wesley Reagan, Jr. and Zachary Andrew Reagan. Steve was a dedicated family man whose love for his wife and sons was the cornerstone of his life. He cherished family gatherings, where his storytelling and humor would light up the room, creating many cherished memories. His unwavering support and encouragement inspired his sons to pursue their dreams, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.

As the owner of Triad Mobility Center in Kernersville, North Carolina, Steve dedicated his career to designing and implementing equipment for the disabled. He often said his job was a reward, as it allowed him to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. His work was a testament to his belief in service and his deep care for others.

In his free time, Steve enjoyed reading and watching movies of all kinds, with a particular fondness for westerns. His love for storytelling, whether through books or films, reflected his curiosity and appreciation for life’s adventures.

Steve is remembered for his straightforward belief in the care and trustworthiness of the Lord Jesus Christ and the history of Godly faith passed down to him from his parents which he reliably taught his children. They have many memories of his firm belief and trust in the Lord that will continue to advise and comfort them.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Melba Lynn Arey Reagan, and his sister, Judith Ann Reagan. He is survived by his son, Steven Wesley Reagan, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Janice Dunlop Reagan; his son, Zachary Andrew Reagan and daughter-in-law, Virginia Hollingsworth Reagan; and his grandchildren, Melanie, Ella, Cody, and Caroline Reagan.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Cedar Hills Center for their compassionate and dedicated care over the years, and to the hospital staff for their caring and tireless efforts.

A private memorial service will be held at Rich Fork Church in Thomasville, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Rich Fork Church of Thomasville, NC. Online condolences may be shared at www.hayworth-miller.com.
