Steven C. Robinson

Steven C. Robinson, 75, of Newport, died peacefully on May 11, 2024 at Village House Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Leola H. (Smith) Robinson. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Edward Waite and Norma (Hazard).
Steven was a laborer at Foxwoods and at the University of Rhode Island until his retirement. He was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe.
He leaves his loving children: Roger Smith & his wife Roxanne of Mashantucket, CT, Terri L. Smith & her husband Larry of Newport, Steven A. Smith of Charlestown, Steven Robinson of Charlestown, Catherine Robinson of Newport and Michael Robinson of Newport. He was the father of the late Frank Smith and father-in-law of Phyllis Reels of Mashantucket, CT.
Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Thomas Hill, Michael Robinson, Linda Hazard, Barbara Hall, Darlene Hazard, Verna Hazard, and the late Richard Hill, Robert Hill, Albert Waite, George Hill, Gloria Hill-Smith, Stanley Hill, Karen Johnson, Sherry Robinson, & Wendy Hazard.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.
