After working in the oilfield for many years, Steven later moved on to farming. Outside of work, he had a deep love for hunting, fishing, and car racing. He could be found at a racetrack many Saturday nights.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Imogene Russell and his brothers Jack Russell and Gary Russell.
He is survived by his sons Tyson and Tuckyr Russell, daughter Tailyr Kingsby, brother Richard "Dick" Russell and wife Janice, sister-in-law Kathy Russell, and sisters Tracy Cruz and husband Joe Cruz and Krystal Hurst, and numerous nieces and nephews.
