Rose (Bazan) Bratcher, 84, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, passed away on May 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on November 14, 1940, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Juan and Marcelena Bazan.
Rose married Reuben "Jerry" Bratcher, and together they shared a life filled with simple joys-fishing, dining out, and going on drives. They especially adored their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose loved her family deeply and was known for her generous heart and kind spirit.
She loved to cook and took great pride in her garden-growing vegetables, plants, and all types of flowers. She especially enjoyed making salsa with the fresh produce from her garden. she also loved to bake cookies and banana bread. Rose worked various jobs, including waitressing, to help support her family, but her most important role was being a homemaker.
She had a bright smile, loved reading and doing crossword puzzles, and enjoyed being part of a bowling league when her children were young. Her family was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her children: Frankie McMillen and wife Sheree of Greenfield, OK; Tim McMillen and wife Tamara of Mustang, OK; Denice Gray and Bryan of Piedmont, OK; and Terry Bratcher and wife Dari of Oklahoma City, OK; along with 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt, Curly Salazar, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reuben "Jerry" Bratcher; sons, Johnny McMillen and Paul McMillen; and siblings, Maria Bazan, Jim Bazan, Mary Davis, Victor Bazan, and Eugene Bazan.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, at Frontline Ministries in Kingfisher. Burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery. Viewing will take place at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
