He was born on July 28, 1971 in Goldsboro, NC to Dennis and Jo Sawyer. He worked with the Fountain Lake Fire Department and Hot Springs Police Department before starting his own business in the computer industry. Steve loved spending time with his grandson Finn and teaching him magic tricks. He also enjoyed the Cowboys, camping on Lake Ouachita, and visiting Orange Beach, FL.
Steve is predeceased by his father-in-law, Keith Hartley.
Loving survivors include his wife Karen Sawyer; son, Shawn (Nicki) Randolph; daughter, Jennifer Randolph; grandson, Finn Ugartechea; parents, Dennis and Jo Sawyer; brothers, Terry (Kari) Sawyer, and Kenneth (Tammy) Sawyer. He was also blessed with five wonderful nieces and nephews; Shelby, Darby, Preston, Chloe, and Hunter.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Monday Jan 12th from 5-7pm at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
