Of South Milwaukee. Found peace on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy (née Bonzell) Schaefer for almost 22 years. Cherished son of William (fiancée Donna Fleury) and the late Marlene (née Merz) Schaefer. Dear brother of Ronald (Jill) Schaefer. Uncle of Courtney Schaefer (Julie Karlson), CJ (Rachel) Schaefer and Cody Schaefer and Sheri Wanke and Bobby Wanke. Great-uncle of Jackson, Joleene and Harlow. Steve is further survived by other relatives and friend.
A Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, W240 N6145 Maple Ave. Sussex, WI.
