Steven Lee Smith, age 57, passed from this life early in the morning on October 31, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born on March 20, 1968, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Johnny Lee and Jane Garrison (McCraw) Smith.

He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, trapping and hunting, and spending weeks at deer camp. His greatest pleasure was residing on Lake Ouachita, where he enjoyed boat riding, reeling as many fish as possible, a good fish fry, and watching the beautiful sunsets.
Steve is survived by his wife Linda (Gill) Smith of the home, his mother, Jane Alverson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, two sisters, Amanda "Mandy" Smith of Greenwood, Arkansas, Melissa "Missy" and spouse Rod Wasson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, three adored nephews, Garrison and spouse Sutton Musgraves of Van Buren, Arkansas, Matthew and spouse Kiley Musgraves of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Zachary and spouse Anna of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two very appreciated friends, Spud Austin and Vernon Kennedy, and many more dear friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lee Smith, grandparents, John Thomas McCraw Sr., Ina Muriel O'Nale McCraw, William "Bill" Smith, and Pearl Owens.
A graveside memorial in Steve's honor will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Monroe Cemetery in Harvey, Arkansas.
Rest in Peace, Steve.
