Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna Leon Sterner; his daughter, Sarah Burdeaux, and her husband, Steven, along with grandchildren Ethan and Emma; his son, Joseph Sterner, and his wife, Melisa, with granddaughter Matilda; his father, Ray Sterner; his sister, Karen Lillie, and her husband, Matt; his cousin, Cindy Louderbough; and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was known for his love of rock 'n' roll music, which was often the soundtrack of his life, as well as his quick wit and memorable sense of humor. Special thanks are given to the dedicated staff at DaVita Dialysis Center, Amedisys Home Health, CHRISTUS Hospice, and CHRISTUS Highland for their kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support.
