Steven Carew Taylor, 68, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully after a short illness, into the loving arms of the Lord, on February 11, 2025, surrounded by his wife and family.
Steve was born March 30, 1956, in Lakeland, FL, the son of Keith I. Taylor and Florence E. Bond. Steve graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1974.
He owned and operated Steve Taylor Concrete.
On July 17, 1993, he married Giselle Rivera. Together they had many wonderful times and memories that will be cherished always.
Steve loved to hunt and fish. He traveled to Pennsylvania annually for whitetail deer and made a trip to Africa capturing many exotics. He was at home in the Everglades, fishing and camping with family and friends.
Steve leaves behind his loving wife, Giselle; son, Steven, Jr. (Denise); daughter, Giselle Marina; father, Keith I. Taylor (Colleen); sister, Becky Hayes (NL); brother, David Taylor (Kerry); and his beautiful granddaughter, Adelyn Florence. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Luz Marina Rivera; sisters-in-law, Gil and Ginette; brother-in-law, Xavier; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence E. Bond.
The funeral service will be held in Sherrick Hall at First Assembly of God, on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The easiest way to access the hall is behind the Fort Myers Christian School at 1550 Colonial Blvd.
There will be a private burial at Mount Zion Cemetery at 101 Church Road, Felda, FL 33930.
