Steven Lee Thacker

Steven Lee Thacker, 63, a lifelong Martinsville resident, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at his residence. Steve was born Tuesday, June 27th, 1961, in Martinsville to the late Donald and Virginia (Norman) Thacker.
Steve was a 1979 graduate of Martinsville High School. He worked most of his life as a tool & die maker, working for various businesses through the years. He loved working on cars, collecting tools and visiting Trader Baker's or anywhere else he could find a great deal.
He leaves behind a host of loving family including his sons, Steven Thacker and Jason Thacker (wife, Katie) of Martinsville and Donnie Thacker of Camby, Indiana; one daughter, Jennifer Thacker (Scott Myers) of Mooresville, Indiana; sisters, Kathy Diane Robinson (husband, Jon) of Greenwood, Indiana, Donna Schrougham (husband, Larry) of Martinsville and Debbie Baughn (husband, Ron) of Knoxville, Tennessee and eleven grandchildren.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, David Ward.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. In honoring his final wishes, his earthly remains will be cremated, and he will be laid to rest at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville with his parents.
