Steven Stuart Trantham

Steven Stuart Trantham, 58, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at his residence after a brief illness. Steve was born on March 19, 1965, in Haywood County, NC, to Dennis Trantham and his late mother, Marie Wood Trantham.
Steve was a Veteran of the United States Army and was proud of his service to his country. He considered Mud Creek Baptist Church as his home church, where he enjoyed attending services.
Steve was a loving husband, father, and stepfather. He had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. Steve had a passion for skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, woodworking, water skiing, and training sporting dogs. He also enjoyed playing various board games and playing cards with his wife and children. Steve loved his family deeply and enjoyed giving well-thought-out gifts to his wife and children. He also had the gift of gab and loved spending time talking to his family, friends, and neighbors on the phone.
Steve is survived by his wife of 28 years, Andrea Trantham; daughter, Jordan Hannah Trantham; sons, Trey Nathaniel Trantham, and Joshua Heath Santiago (Stepson); father Dennis Trantham and his wife Molly Trantham; sister Denise Trantham of Greenville, SC; brother Alan Trantham and his wife Sherry of Clyde, NC; uncles, Charles Wood and his wife Sandra of Iron Duff, NC, and J.T. Trantham and his wife Kim of Waynesville, NC; aunts, Norma Jean Hurley of Boca Raton, FL, Wanda White and her husband John of Waynesville, NC, and Kathi Trantham Matthews and her husband Tom of Prescott, AZ; in-laws Eugene and his wife Barbara Kiser of Mullens, WV; Sister-In-Law Stephanie Kiser Clark and her husband Chris of Otsego, WV; nephews, Aaron Beau Clark and his wife Jordan of Pineville, WV, Clay Trantham of Clyde NC, Caleb Clark of Buchanan, WV, Evan Clark of Otsego, WV, and Jamison Granieri of Greenville, SC; great niece Cambrie Clark of Pineville, WV; and many cousins and special friends. Steve also loved the family dog, Tucker.
A memorial service will be held at one o'clock on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, with Reverend Willie Walters officiating, and Caleb Clark speaking.
