Bessemer City – Steven (Steve) Wayne Wright, 68, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Steve was born in Columbia, SC on February 1, 1957, a son of the late Kenneth Bryan Wright and Mary Daphine Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robby Robinson.
Steve was a very loving and compassionate person. Steve retired from a career at Freightliner of Mount Holly, NC and was a member of Dallas Methodist Church in Dallas. When Steve saw a need he helped in any way he could, whether it be family, friend, animal, or the occasional stranger. Steve was an avid golfer who enjoyed not only the game but especially the fellowship with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him and were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Survivors include his brother, Phillip Bryan Wright (Amanda); two sisters Missy Wright Froneberger (Tony) and Paula Robinson Wright; six nieces/nephews Sharon Wright Holcombe (Josh), Jeremy Bryan Wright (Deanna), Kendall Leigh Wright (Heidi), Alex Robinson Fitschen (Matt), Hannah Robinson Jenkins (Johnathan), Eric Matthew Froneberger (Jessica); five great nieces/nephews Bella Grace Holcombe, Caleb Lee Holcombe, Samantha Jean Fitschen, Noah Anthony Froneberger and Peter Robinson Fitschen; and special friend Tina Noll.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., at Dallas Methodist Church in Dallas. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Dallas Methodist Church, 301 West Main Street, Dallas, NC 28034 with Rev. Billy Ervin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children Hospital.
