Steven Michael Zagar, 70, of Grandview, Missouri passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri. Steven was born on March 4, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas to the home of Frank Anthony Zagar and Frances R. (Heenan) Manis.
Steven met the love of his life Carol Hix, and they were married. From this union they were blessed with 4 children. He was the life of the party, and his family was his top priority. Steve loved to work with his hands and was a gifted carpenter. He was always willing to teach his son in laws, Eric and Kit, how to repair their homes and fix their appliances. He was not interested in collecting treasures on this earth- his friends and his family were his treasures, and he was happiest when he could give and share. He gave his daughters wonderful memories of the music he played on the guitar, banjo and harmonica. He opened his home to family and friends and enjoyed grilling and celebrating the holidays with friends and family. He left his fingerprint in many homes and many hearts and will be deeply missed. Here, there or in the air. Steven is preceded in death by his parents Frank Anthony Zagar and Frances R. (Heenan) Manis. He is survived by his wife Carol, Children Michelle (Eric) Maginness, Angie Zagar, Liz (Kit) Woodling and Aaron Zagar, 9 grandchildren Jeremy, Kirstin, Joshua, Zoe, KayLynn, Caleb, David, Mikayla, Matthew, great granddaughter Luella, his brother Frank (Vickie) Zagar, niece Francy, and nephews Jon and David.
