Stormie Giles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Service - Vinita on Oct. 17, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Stormie Lynn Giles left this earth at just 15 months old and was welcomed into Heaven by many loved ones who had been eagerly waiting to meet her.
Stormie is survived by her parents, Eric and Bayleigh Giles; three older sisters, Hayden Giles, Sadie Giles, and Harlee Giles; and two older brothers, Kale Flud and Peyton Giles. She is also survived by her maternal grandfather, Joe Jernigan Jr., and paternal grandparents, Sherry and Keith Green and Kim and Amy Giles.
Stormie was the most adventurous, fearless, and happiest baby imaginable. Everyone who had the blessing of knowing her lovingly called her the "best baby in the world." She brought joy to everyone she met with her sweet spirit, contagious giggle, and big, bright personality.
She loved spending her days outside, especially with her sister, Harlee Jo. Together, they played in every way possible-laughing, exploring, and even having a few of those typical sister squabbles. Stormie's happiest moments were spent in the water-whether splashing in the river, playing at the water table, or jumping in puddles in the yard.
She had the most beautiful, fiery red curls you ever did see. Her mom always said she couldn't go anywhere in town without someone stopping to admire Stormie and her stunning hair. She loved shoes-maybe from her daddy, though he'd probably say she got that from her momma! Stormie insisted on wearing shoes everywhere she went, even if they didn't quite match.
Every morning began with pancakes and chocolate milk, the way straight to her heart, and her mommy always made sure she got them. Her smile could light up an entire room, and her laugh-especially when she was being ornery or running from her daddy with something she wasn't supposed to have-was pure joy.
Stormie was far from your "average" toddler. In her short time on this earth, she touched countless hearts and changed the lives of everyone who knew her. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, her friends, and all who had the privilege of loving her. The sound of her little feet running through the house and yard will be forever missed, but her spirit will continue to run wild and free in the hearts of those she left behind.
Stormie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Glenda Leathers ("GiGi"), and her great-paternal grandmother, Rowena Falling.
Her light was brief, but it was bright-and it will never fade.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Family Praise Center.
