It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stuart "Stu" Earl McClure, age 56, of Greenville, South Carolina, who departed this life on November 9, 2025. Born on October 8, 1969, in Greenville, SC, Stu was a beloved son, brother, and friend, known for his warmth and unwavering commitment to his community.
Stu graduated from Mauldin High School and was dedicated to serving his community. He spent the majority of his time volunteering at The American Legion, a place that was dear to his heart.
He is survived by his loving mother, Myrna Osteen; his dear sisters, Sharon McClure Coffin and Sandra McClure; his nieces, Amy Abbott (Hayden), and Leanne Davis (Hunter); a great niece, Avery Davis; and his cherished neighbor and friend, Carol. Stu's spirit and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving behind fond memories and lasting impressions that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of life to honor Stu's life and contributions, will be held at The American Legion Post 214 located at 3110 Wade Hampton Blvd, Taylors, SC 29687. Further details regarding the date and time of the service will be announced soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post 214, as Stu would have appreciated the continued support in his name.
He will be forever remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the enduring impact he had on those lucky enough to know him.
