Sylvia Hawkins Roberts

Anderson, SC - Sylvia Hawkins Roberts, 86, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, with her family by her side.

Sylvia was a graduate of Mauldin High School and a devoted wife and mother of 68years. Her Love of her family was always her first priority. Throughout Life, she established homes and lifelong friends in many places as relocations were a common occurrence. After Jack's retirement in 1995, they retired on Lake Hartwell, where new and old friends alike were numerous. She enjoyed the water and lake life along with snow skiing, horseback riding, exercise, and weightlifting. Riding behind Jack on numerous motorcycle trips and many miles was a regular pastime.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Gower Hawkins and Frances Nichols Cole.

Survivors include her son, Jack Michael Roberts (Julie); daughter, Cindy Roberts Lemons (Philip); three grandchildren, Ted Roberts (Melanie), Ashleigh Lemons (Roy Inman), Anna Lemons, and one great-grandson, Noah Inman.

Huge love of animals and a lifetime of pets, she hopes to see again. She leaves behind her precious Missy, who was her best friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Roberts.

Visitation at 3:00 PM and service at 4:00 PM will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson, SC 29621. Reverend Laura Geloni of Mountain View Global Methodist Church will conduct the service.
