Sue Park Beveridge, age 90, of Saco, Maine died Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Portland, Maine.
Sue Nichol Park was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 11, 1935, the daughter of Margaret Oliver Park and John Russel Park. She and her husband, Robert Wilson Beveridge, were high school sweethearts at Uniontown High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, graduating in 1953. Sue received her nursing certificate from Columbia Hospital in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania in 1956. Then, the two were married in 1957 in Uniontown. Sue worked as a psychiatric nurse for several years until she took a break to raise their two children, Robert and John. Later, she worked as a nurse in an allergist office.
The Beveridge family moved several times throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia, following Bob's career at General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Once retired, they loved to travel together, visiting many countries in Europe and enjoying cruises through various parts of the world. They especially loved taking trips to Maine, exploring the nooks and crannies of Maine's coastline. They moved to Hollis, Maine, shortly before Bob's passing in August 2012.
Sue is survived by sons, Robert P. Beveridge of Cleveland, Ohio and John R. Beveridge and his wife, Amy L. Beveridge of Saco, Maine; four grandchildren: Sarah Beveridge and David Beveridge of Cleveland, Ohio and Lillian Beveridge and Evelyn Beveridge of Saco, Maine. Sue is predeceased by her brother Skip Park, her parents, and her husband.
Sue loved all animals, especially dogs and had several pets through the years. She often took trips to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society in Kenab, Utah.
