Sue Ellen Danis, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on January 17, 1951, Sue lived a life enriched by her passions and dedicated to her family.
Sue's career included significant roles at Simon Properties Group and Olive Garden, where she was respected not only for her work ethic but also for her warm and friendly demeanor. Her education included some college coursework, which laid a foundation for her professional achievements and personal growth.A woman of diverse interests, Sue found great joy in going to the casino, where she embraced the thrill of the game. She was an avid fan of Hallmark movies, often finding solace in their heartwarming stories. Her love for chocolate was well known, and she never turned down a sweet treat. Sue was also a dedicated supporter of Ohio State Football, passionately cheering for her team during each season.
Sue is survived by her two sons, David Danis of Fishers, IN and Michael (Vicky) Danis of Avon, IN, as well as two granddaughters. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy (Terry) White of Greenwood, IN, and her brother, Rick Hodder of Greenwood, IN. The bonds shared with her family were a significant part of her life, and she remained connected to them through love and shared moments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan T. Hodder and Marjorie I. (Herring) Hodder, and her brothers, Ted Hodder Jr. and Robert Hodder.
While they are no longer with us, their memories will undoubtedly remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Sue.Sue Ellen Danis’s legacy will live on through the stories shared by her family and friends, reminding all of the joy, laughter, and kindness she brought into their lives. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
