Sue Ann Brock Dolinger, born on July 16, 1953, in Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at Abingdon Health and Rehab in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a beloved figure in the community and a nurturing presence in the lives of many children.

For 25 years, Sue dedicated herself as the owner and director of Kids are Special Christian Day Care, where her passion for early childhood development shone brightly. Her educational journey began with a graduation from Fairmont High School, followed by the attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development from Fairmont College. Her commitment to fostering a loving and supportive environment for children was evident in all she accomplished.

Sue was not only a dedicated professional but also a compassionate individual who loved children dearly. In her personal time, she enjoyed sewing and reading, hobbies that allowed her creativity to flourish. She cherished moments spent boating on the lake with her husband, Samuel Dolinger, creating lasting memories.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Ezekiel Eddy and Clara Yvonne Morris Eddy; her first husband, Allen Brock; son, Benjamin Brock and brother, Roger Eddy.

Sue leaves behind her loving husband, Samuel; daughters, Elizabeth Brock, Samantha Conner (Nick), and Amanda Burden (Steve); and cherished grandchildren, Ty, Jace, Charlie, Emmalee, Ethan, and Laklynn; and step-mother, June Eddy. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her deeply.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel, located at 427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Sue will then be laid to rest during her burial at Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank their church family at Pleasant View Methodist Church for the loving support and prayers throughout Sue's illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant View Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210.

As we remember Sue Ann Brock Dolinger, we celebrate a life filled with dedication to family and career, a heartwarming devotion to children, and a vibrant spirit that touched many lives. Her legacy will forever remain in the memories of those she loved and the countless children she nurtured throughout her remarkable life.
