Sue Gilliam

Sue (Dean) Gilliam, "Our Blessed Angel", 92 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was born November 20, 1932 in Blue Ridge, GA the daughter of Jim Dean and Bessie (Watts) Jenkins. Sue was a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother. Surviving are her daughters, Wanda Denison and Jennifer Yost all of Valparaiso, grandchildren, Cara (Wes) Nettles of Westminster, MD, Aimee (Brian) Falls of Argos, IN and Brandon (Gloricelly) Yost of Valparaiso, great grandchildren, Sasha Jarvis of Culver, IN, Shellby Falls of North Liberty, IN and Brian Falls II of Argos, IN, 12 great- great grandchildren and her sister-in-law Rose Dean of Griffin, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband Williard "Booster" Gilliam, her daughter Pamela Sue Craiger, her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Sue enjoyed gardening, making dolls to sell, building homes, including her own, landscaping, thrifting, flea markets, yard sales and antiquing, collecting and flipping houses. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 15,2025 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso, Rev. Mitchell Tabla officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Porter County Animal Shelter. In lieu of flowers, plant a plant in Sues memory.
