Sue Kaltved Obituary
Sue was born in Rockford, IL on August 17, 1957, daughter of William & Ann Didier. She is survived by her father, Bill; siblings, Mark, Mary, Andrea, Lori and Christine; children, Chad, Josh and Nicholas; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews along with countless friends and acquaintances of whom she shared her loves, joy and compassion for all.
Sue loved to play sports, she was a strong-willed single mother who worked hard her entire life devoted to her children and family. Always up for a game, always baking with love for anyone in her orbit. She is a true angel on earth whose spirit touched the soul of everyone she encountered.
Sue battled cancer and a multitude of health complications starting at the age of 17 until the time of her passing at age 66. She has served her time well on earth and will now spread her wings and fly as she ascends into Heaven.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th Street, Rockford IL. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:30 Friday, September 29, 2023 at John's Restaurant & Pizzeria, 2914 11th St, Rockford, IL 61109.
